We develop infrastructure that meets international safety standards

Our concern for operational safety is visible every day in every one of the tasks that we undertake in our airports. We have a commitment to our clients, airport users, and passengers to comply with regulations, to provide safety, consistency, and efficiency in operations and to minimize the risk of injuries and physical damage in all our airports, while meeting domestic and International safety standards.

Commitments

  • Airports in safe operating condition.
  • Investments in high quality equipment that can provide greater operational safety.
  • Operating procedures that comply with domestic and international standards.

Aerodrome Certification

OMA's airports have the certifications required by Mexico's Civil Aviation General Directorate (DGAC) and are in the process of acquiring Aerodrome Certification, in accordance with the international standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for infrastructure, installations, equipment, and procedures.

The process for Aerodrome Certification includes:

  • Training: Training personnel so that they can carry out the activities of applying and supervising operational safety procedures in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Aerodrome Manual: Documentation of all relevant aerodrome information.
  • Operational Safety Management System: Plan and implement a Safety Management System (SMS).

The DGAC will authorize the granting of Aerodrome Certifications after checking compliance of installations, procedures, and personnel with applicable operational safety norms and verifying the information in the Aerodrome Manual.
